okay, i really tho't i posted the gulf shores, alabama beach pix. but maybe that was on facebook? guess so. well, here's our last trip in alabama...oooh, these are fun! okay, this was the very next morning...the day the oil hit gulf shores. you know it's bad when you walk on the beach and there are empty chairs and hardly anyone there. people just stood and looked out in disbelief. it was really pretty sad! poor kids didn't have much fun collecting shells cuz there were tar balls everywhere. in one of the pix you can see the tar balls in the water, just rollin to the shore. it was SO hot, but who would want to get in the water? it's a sad, sad thing! guess one way to look at it is that we were right there experiencing history first-hand! we only stayed about an hour; then the kids got happy playing in the outside showers...God bless the states affected by the BP spill!
